In our percent of ad spend fee structure, we charge a set portion of the total ad spend under management. As your ad spend increases, so does our bill to manage it.
See our current fee structure below:
Your PPC ad budget for the month | Percent of ad spend (%) |
$500 - $1,999 | Variable (see sales rep for specifics) |
$2,000 - $14,999 | 15% |
$15,00 - $39,999 | 10% |
$40,000+ | 8% |
*We charge a variable management fee on a case-by-case basis if you spend under $2,000/month on paid ads.
For example, if your PPC ad spend totaled $15,000 at the end of the month, and the agreed-upon percentage of ad spend was 10%, then the total you would get invoiced from our agency would be $15,000 x 10% = $1,500.
Why do I have to pay paid media management fees, on top of my monthly retainer?
Great question! When PPC budgets get bigger, they also often become more complex. There are:
- more keywords to research and target,
- more campaigns to run,
- and sometimes additional PPC platforms to engage with (For example: going from running ads on Facebook to running ads on Meta, Google Search, YouTube Ads, and Snapchat)
The money you spend on ads has a direct correlation to the work we need to do to keep the campaigns optimized, conduct testing, pivot as necessary, and scale intelligently.
Simply, the more you spend, the more we work.
The paid media fee at Blue Surge is not a bonus or a financial pat on the back for doing a good job managing your ads for you. These fees are centered around the labor of our paid media team as they work in your accounts.
Typically, this percentage will be tiered so it decreases as the spend increases over time.
Most agencies charge upward of 20 percent to manage PPC campaigns. It is rare to find PPC agencies charging less than 15 percent of ad spend.
We know that when you choose to engage with us, you’re putting a lot of trust in our expertise and ability to manage your accounts.
We aim to mirror that trust by building our pricing around a philosophy of transparency, flexibility, and honesty.
