What's involved in the Discovery Phase of the website design process?

This is where we strategize with you and figure out the game plan for this project.

First, we connect with the client, analyze the pros and cons of the existing website, and plan the next steps.

This phase includes:

  • Gaining access to servers and building the folder structure
  • Determining potential scope
  • Determining the required software and resources (e.g., stock photography, fonts, etc.)
  • Reorganizing existing content and identifying where new information will go
  • Reviewing competitor websites to compile effective keywords and search engine optimization (SEO)

During this phase, we work with the client and may send them an end-to-end brand questionnaire, asking about your primary objectives and what you hope to achieve with your website.

We also set expectations for how long each part of the project will take. We will always provide an estimated range because we understand how busy you may be and that you may not always be immediately available to provide us with the necessary information.
